Admission Criteria (Diploma)

1. Courses
   1. Engineering: Pass in Karnataka 10^th Std. or Equivalent examination with minimum of 35% marks in each of Science and Mathematics.
   2. Fashion Technology 10^th Std. Pass in Karnataka or Equivalent examination.
2. Admission Rules
   1. Admissions are open to Boys & Girls in all Branches. Advertisement for Admission will be notified in premier dailies.
   2. Applications for Admission along with Prospectus are to be purchased from the office or by the post, by paying the prescribed fees during the working hours. Duly filled in application forms are to be submitted on or before the notified dates.
   3. Application can also be obtaine by Post by sending DD for require amount.

Admission of JOC/ITI passed Students to 3^rd semester

1. Students who have completed JOC with 60% or ITI (2 Years) are eligible for 3^rd Sem Diploma under Lateral Entry, as per Rules.

Admission of Foreign Nationals to Diploma Education in India

1. "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) . issued by the Ministry of Human Resources Devpt. (Dept. of Education, Shastri Bhavan New Delhi) for a foreign student to study Diploma in India.
2. "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) issued by the Govt. of India, Ministry of External Affairs, Videsh Manthralaya, New Delhi, stating that there is no objection from Political Angle for admission of a foreign national to a Polytechnic in India.
3. Equivalence certificate of the qualification of the foreign student on equivalent to 10^th Standard of Secondary School Exam of Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi or other boards in the country issued by the Association of Indian Universities, AIU & house, 16 Kotla Marg New Delhi 110002 with the above certificates foreign national are to approach DTE for Issue of Eligibility Certificate to get admitted for diploma course

Transfer from one Polytechnic to another Polytechnic

1. No Objection Certificate from the Polytechnic where student is studying which also indicate eligibility to next higher class.
2. Attach copy of all previous Semester marks cards along with applicable Fee paid Receipt.
3. No Objection Certificate from the Principal of the Polytechnic where student is intend to join the course.
4. Approval from Department of Technical Education.
5. Process has to be completed within prescribed date fixed by Department of Technical Education.

Certificates in Orginal to be Produced at the time of Admission

1. SSLC/10^th standard original Marks Card.
2. Transfer Certificate/School leaving certificate.
3. Study Certificate for the periid of FIVE years from I Std. to X Std.(Countersigned by concerned block Education Officer, for Karnataka Students Only).
4. Eligibility Certificate for Non-Karnataka Candidates (Candidates passed 10^th Standard other than Karnataka 10^th Standard) to be obtained from the Director of Technical Education. by paying the prescribed fee in the polytechnic.
5. Migration Certificate for Non-Karnataka Candidates .
6. Medical Certificate in the prescribed Format.
7. Latest stamp size photos,06 Nos.
8. In addition to the originals. Two Sets of photo copies of certificates are to be submitted.

Attendance:

75% of Attendance is compulsory for each of the Practical and Theory Subjects in every semester ,for issue of examination Admission Ticket.

Scheme of Examination

Semester system of examinations. In each semester the students will study for 16 weeks. At the end of the semester, there will be an examination both in Theory and Practical conducted by Board of Technical examination, Dept. of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka. During the semester the student is also continuously evaluated including three internal tests. Internal assessment marks are taken into account for announcement of each Semester results of examination conducted by Board of Technical Education 75% of attendance is compulsory for issue of examination Admission Ticket for each of the Practical and Theory Subjects in every semester .
